CMM PI’s Saskia van Mil, Yvonne Vercoulen and facility manager Ies Nijman are awarded an NWA-ORC grant as part of the 6,75m€ ARREST consortium led by Stan van de Graaf

ARREST will provide groundbreaking liver models using normothermic machine perfusion, a technique used to keep livers functioning outside the body. ARREST will demonstrate the applicability of these models to test novel therapies to improve liver function in patients and to develop regenerative medicine approaches to increase livers available for transplantation. Team CMM (van Mil, Vercoulen and Nijman) will contribute to the ARREST consortium with spatial technologies to image prime editing succes, tissue repair, liver regeneration and more.
